1968 SWB 912

This car had only 3 registered owners and spent 27 years of its life off the road in dry storage. It was originally Champagne yellow, and was painted Indishrot in 1982 by the second owner. There is the Title Deed showing only 47000 miles in 1982 and it is very likely that the current(2009) 49000 mileage is correct

The brilliant thing is that it has never had any rust and clearly been cherished throughout it's life, before being dry stored 25 years ago.

Matching numbers,

Porsche certificate of Origin.

The car had been in storage with a broken motor since 1986 and still has the 1987 test sticker in the window. The interior is in excellent condition with perfect original un-cracked dash, original seats and original carpets in superb condition.

The motor had been  fully rebuilt with new 1720 pistons and barrels.

Mark Linstone did a brilliant job with the motor, with Webbers and mild rally cams it pulls like a train and revs freely.

Exceptional condition throughout, never any rust.

This was a wonderful car, probably one of the best ones even though it was not the original colour. I really enjoyed owning it.

Somehow the short wheel base 912 is the spiritual  successor to the 356 and definitely handles better than the short wheelbase 911's.
